HOW SHE DOES IT ALL! Series | JUGGLING MOM- Sireesha from Crowd Work News

Motherhood means juggling many balls and it certainly is challenging when you run your business/work/passion with it. One of the things that always amazed me, when I meet a woman who is a mother and also working or running a business is understanding how she does it all. So this series is for women to get inspired and to share any tips or strategies that can help each other.

So today, I am interviewing Sireesha of www.crowdworknews.com. Let us see how she juggles her life.

TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF AND YOUR WORK
I am a work-at-home mum to two super energetic kids:-). I have been working from home for eight years now, and I have always loved it. Apart from managing my blog, I work as a search engine evaluator. My blog is something I am very passionate about, and it all started in July 2016. Both my blog and my work give me the freedom to spend time with my family, and that is what I love about working from home.

WHAT IS YOUR TYPICAL DAY LIKE FROM START TO FINISH?
My day starts around 6 in the morning, that’s the most peaceful time I get to work on my blog. I have always been a morning person. I work on my evaluation job during the afternoons as the work is quite flexible and can be done anytime. Being a mum, getting things done on time is crucial if you want to juggle many tasks. I work on my blog again in the evenings and nights. The time during the day is fully spent taking care of my kids and other things at home.

DESCRIBE YOUR WORK SCHEDULE? HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU SPEND ON YOUR BLOG?
As I said above, I work on my job and blog equally, but right now I am working more on the blog to get things done ahead of my schedule. I spend around 20 hours a week on my blog. For now, it’s just a side hustle for me, so I would like to keep the working hours to that.

THERE ARE A LOT OF POSTS ON YOUR BLOG REGARDING HOW MUCH YOU EARNED. CAN YOU SHARE SOME TIPS TO INCREASE PAGEVIEWS AND INCOME FROM THE BLOG?
I always wanted to publish my blog updates. It’s a great way to be accountable and share your tips with others. From the start of my blogging journey, I knew that investing and learning new strategies is vital to making your blog a successful business.

There are few things you can do to increase your page views right from the launch of your blog.
1. Always promote a lot before launching. The promotion gives you a good foundation and keeps people interested.
2. Focus on the social media which is getting you more traffic and promote more on those platforms. I started getting a lot of traffic from Pinterest around the second month of my blog, and I started pushing more there, and now I am reaching around 1.5 million people on Pinterest.
3. Network with other bloggers in your niche. I cannot stress this enough. I have formed many successful relationships with my fellow bloggers which in turn helped my blog to grow.

My latest income from my blog is over $5000, and on the contrary to the belief that you cannot make money from a new blog, it is possible. I always wanted to concentrate on affiliate marketing, and for this reason, I took the course, Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing. Seriously, this is the best investment I made. This course has taught me so much, and the bonuses are priceless. I owe a lot of my income success to this course.

WHAT DO YOU KNOW NOW THAT YOU WISH YOU KNEW WHEN YOU FIRST STARTED BLOGGING?
I have learnt a lot in my blogging journey and one thing I wish I had focused on right from the first month of my blog was building my email list. It is so important to continuously work on increasing your list for the growth of your blog.

HOW DO YOU JUGGLE MARRIAGE / BLOG / WORK / MOTHERHOOD?
Oh, I could write a full essay on this question:-). Though it is hard to manage all things at once, I give it my best. I give credit for significant part of my effective management to my husband, who is a big pillar of support for me.

After working from home for eight years, the biggest thing that I have found that helps me to handle everything is PLANNING. I plan my days ahead a lot for work and blog, content creation, promotion, etc. That way, I get to spend more time with my family and its a total win win.

HOW DO YOU MANAGE HOUSEHOLD CHORES / COOKING?
I am a very active person, always like be on my feet. Having two kids, it’s always a mess at home, but I get to finish most of my household work on the weekends and early mornings. I see the household chores and the cooking as an exercise.

With my work-at-home job and blog, I tend to sit and work most of the time, so this way I keep myself fit.

HOW DO YOU TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF? HOW DO YOU FIND YOU’RE ME TIME?
Is there a ‘Me’ time at all for mums:-) We tend to travel a lot, and I love travelling and photography. The trips we take is an outlet for me from my job. That is the biggest advantage my blog gives me to earn money from anywhere. All I need is my laptop, camera and phone.

POUR SOME OF YOUR PRODUCTIVITY TIPS
Always plan ahead and be flexible. Working from home and around the family is demanding, and it can be hard sometimes to juggle family and work. But things do get better with time. When you get your job done through batch processing, it becomes a great help.

DO YOU THINK WOMEN CAN HAVE IT ALL? WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE OTHER WOMEN TRYING TO JUGGLE IT ALL?
YES!! But sometimes trying to be on all fronts is frustrating. So, take it easy and do what you can do one thing at a time. Instead of trying to do everything, be most productive and perfect with one task at hand. That can give you the greatest satisfaction.
Most of all, enjoy what you do.
