This Nendran Banana ghee roast is very simple and easy to make snack or breakfast for both kids and adults.

Some babies are underweight and parents are really struggling to maintain their weight. There are many factors to consider before evaluating your Child’s weight. For many reasons, there may be nothing to worry. It is just their nature. All we can do is to give them high calorie meals with other healthy foods at an interval of 2-3 hours.

Now let’s see why this recipe is a weight gain .

Bananas are said to help in weight loss (because of its fiber content) and help in weight gain (high calorie). But that said bananas have been an age-old remedy for weight gain. Kerala banana are rich in Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Vitamin K, Folate, Niacin, Pyridoxine and Thiamin. 100 grams of Kerala /nendran banana have 125 calories of energy.

Ghee is also high in calorie. Coconut, cashews, raisins (optional) is also rich and healthy ingredients.

Nendran Banana ghee roast/Plantain ghee roast Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Nendran bananas/Ripe plantain- 1
  • Ghee- 2-3 tbsp
  • Scraped coconut
  • Sugar- 1tsp(optional)
  • Cashews sliced
  • Raisins

 

Preparation:

Take ripe sweet bananas and peel them. Slit them and Slice into long pieces or half pieces.

Heat a non stick pan and add ghee to it. Add cashews and raisins into ghee and remove when done. Now roast the sliced bananas in ghee for 5 minutes until a brown color appears. Sprinkle the sugar and flip the bananas over to the other side until done.

Serve these bananas with coconut scrapes, cashews and raisins.

Roasted sesame seeds can also be added

Just roasting the bananas in ghee is also a way to serve (same as the pic above). When giving to babies it is better to remove the black seeds in the middle of banana after roasting.
